About Fit the Line
What it is
Fit the Line is a free classroom game for learning to judge a line of best fit by eye. You place a trendline over a scatter plot, then the game reveals the true least-squares regression line and scores how close you got. You can play alone or run a live class game with a code and a scoreboard.
Who made it
Fit the Line was made by Brock Hammill, a high school science teacher in Corvallis, Montana. It is an independent project. It is not an official product of any school or school district.
